WHAT GOES IN
King fish cubes – 600 gms
Shallots / Onions crushed – 200 gms
Tomato concasse – chopped – 250 gms
Tamarind juice – 15 ml
Red chilly paste – 10 gms
Corainder powder – 5 gms
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tspn
Cumin powder – 1/2 tspn
Salt – 10 gms
Oil – 50 ml
Tempering
HOW TO PREPARE
1. Heat oil and lightly brown shallots in it.
2. Add pasted and powder ingredients and saute till they are roasted.
3. Add tamarind juice, tomato concasse, salt and cook for 10 mts in slow fire until the tomato has mashed.
4. Place the fish in the mixture and add little water (150 ml) and cook for 15-20 mts in a medium flame.
5. Prepare a tempering and pour over fish.
6. It tastes better if served after few hours.
