REEF COD MASALA

WHAT GOES IN

Reef cod tubes – 600 gms
Oil – 50 ml
Onion chopped – 200 gms
Garlic crushed – 10 gms
Ginger crushed – 10 gms
Red chilly paste – 15 gms
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Tomato chopped – 200 gms
Salt – 1 tspn
Lime juice – 5 ml
Coriander leaves – 15 gms

HOW TO PREPARE

1. Heat oil on a pan and saute together onion, garlic, ginger, red chilly paste, curry leaves until it turns into light brown colour and develops a roasted smell.
2. Add tomato and continue to saute until the tomato is well cooked.
3. Now, add the fish, salt, lime juice and 100 ml of water and cook carefully until the fish is well cooked and the excess water has evaporated.
4. Serve garnished with chopped corainder leaves.

Accompaniment : Rice dishes.
