PRAWN/ LOBSTER CURRY

What goes in:

Lobster / Prawn – 800 gms
Dry Coconut – 40 gms
Red Chilli – 10 gms
Coriander Seeds – 15 gms
Turmeric Powder – Half tspn
Shallot – 50 gms
Cumin – Half tspn
Salt – One and a half tspn
Tamarind Juice – 15 ml
Tomato – 150 gms
Green Chilli – 3 Nos
Tempering – 1 Recipe

How to prepare:

1. Boil together Coconut, Red Chilli, Coriander, Turmeric, Shallot and Cumin until golden brown. Then grind into a fine paste with Tomato.

2. Mix the paste with above 500 ml of water, salt and tamarind juice.

3. Put fish in the mixture and simmer covered for 15 minutes.

4. Finish with tempering.

Accompaniment: Serve with boiled rice or Chappathi or buns.

Cooking time: 20 minutes
